The Music

KFMG’s main musical format is called “Eclectic Triple A” (Adult Album Alternative). We are a melodic rock station with soul, a musical melting pot blending jazz and soul with rock and roll, stirring in some blues, acoustic, classical, and world beat, and flavoring with reggae and salsa. KFMG plays musicians who live in our town, and musicians who are coming to our town. The station displays music as diverse as our city and our listeners. We invite you to be one of them.

KFMG, 98.9 FM, is one of the very few locally owned radio stations remaining in the community, and the only one to focus primarily on the community. Your contribution is vital if the station is to continue to operate, to upgrade our equipment, and get the word out about our programming.
